Terahertz Radiation\nDriven Nonlinear Transport Phenomena\nin Two-Dimensional Tellurene
Nonlinear electron transport induced by polarized terahertz\nradiation\nis studied in two-dimensional tellurene at room temperature. A direct\ncurrent, quadratic in the radiation’s electric field, is observed.\nContributions sensitive to radiation helicity and polarization orientation\nas well as polarization independent current are found. We show that\nthese contributions can be modified by the magnitude of the external\ngate potential. We demonstrate that this terahertz-driven electric\ncurrent arises from the Berry curvature dipole and the side-jump microscopic\nmechanisms.
