Abstract

In contemporary organic synthesis,\nchemists actively\npursue a diverse range of substrates that can be efficiently catalyzed\nwithin an integrated system, playing a crucial role in advancing the\npharmaceutical industry. However, due to the influence of substituents\non reactivity and selectivity, it poses a challenging dilemma to explore\ndifferent strategies for activating substrates with distinct functional\ngroups. Herein, we have developed an important visible light-driven\nchiral Lewis acid catalysis platform which facilitates the unified\nallylations and vinylogous reactions of various allyl bromides and\nisatins for the highly enantio- and diastereoselective construction\nof valuable 3-allyl-3-hydroxy oxindoles. The success of this approach\nlies in utilizing a radical pathway for intermediate formation and\nstereocenter generation. Moreover, the activation capability of chiral\nLewis acids provides an opportunity to achieve sufficient enantiocontrol\nand enhance regioselectivity. The robustness of this method is demonstrated\nby its application in precise radical-based propargylation reactions\nusing readily accessible propargyl bromides.
