Unveiling the Wavelength-Dependent\nPerformance and\nPhotodegradation Analysis of Perovskite Solar Cells
Recent research has made substantial progress in understanding\nthe wavelength-dependent performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs)\nwith an N–I–P architecture. In this study, methylammonium\nlead iodide-based PSCs with a power conversion efficiency of ∼20%\nwere exposed to red, green, and blue light to investigate the complexities\nof charge transport dynamics within the device. A detailed analysis\nwas carried out to explore the effects of wavelength-specific charge\ncarrier generation on the device performance. Additionally, the processes\nof charge generation and recombination, contributing to a notable\npower conversion efficiency, were examined under varying conditions\nsuch as temperature, voltage, and illumination. This work provides\nvaluable insights into charge transport dynamics, identifying trap\nstates at around 0.26 eV. Elemental mapping of the cross-section of\nthe degraded devices under different illumination conditions also\nrevealed significant insights into ion migration. The systematic exploration\nof PSC responses to various wavelengths offers a deeper understanding\nof the mechanisms influencing efficiency and stability, which are\nessential for the targeted design and engineering of PSCs for specific\napplications and operational conditions.
