Integration of NiTiO3 Films onto TiO2 Nanorods as Photoanodes for Glucose\nDetection with Near-Infrared\nLight

Diabetes remains a significant chronic disease, with\nits prevalence\nprojected to exceed 700 million by 2045. Monitoring glucose levels\nthrough conventional methods is crucial for mitigating the associated\nhealth risks. In this study, NiTiO3 films are loaded on\nTiO2 nanorods to create photoanodes, which are applied\nfor glucose detection using near-infrared (NIR) light illumination.\nThis approach achieved a detection limit of 0.01 mM with selectivity\nreaching up to 95%. Additionally, the long-term stability was confirmed\nfor at least 16 weeks. This study demonstrates the potential of using\nNiTiO3-based nanomaterials as an NIR-driven sensor for\nglucose detection.

Abstract

Diabetes remains a significant chronic disease, with\nits prevalence\nprojected to exceed 700 million by 2045. Monitoring glucose levels\nthrough conventional methods is crucial for mitigating the associated\nhealth risks. In this study, NiTiO3 films are loaded on\nTiO2 nanorods to create photoanodes, which are applied\nfor glucose detection using near-infrared (NIR) light illumination.\nThis approach achieved a detection limit of 0.01 mM with selectivity\nreaching up to 95%. This study demonstrates the potential of using\nNiTiO3-based nanomaterials as an NIR-driven sensor for\nglucose detection.
