Finding ways to minimize gas shortages for consumers in the context of large-scale emergencies in the gas industry

\nThe existing structure of the gas transportation network of Russia is characterized by the presence of critically important objects, the loss of operability of which cannot be compensated by any of the previously considered measures. Therefore, it is necessary to justify the development of the gas transportation network with the creation of additional gas transportation capacities outside the arcs of the existing graph. This problem can be solved by segmenting the existing network into simple polygons with the possibility of creating arcs connecting previously unconnected nodes, i.e. polygons starting with a quadrangle are of interest. The specific cost of creating such arcs, as a first approximation, is an order of magnitude higher than the specific cost of creating additional arcs in the existing corridors of main gas pipelines. The authors of the article propose a mathematical model for solving this problem. The results of the study on the aggregated calculation scheme of the gas transportation network of Russia are presented, conclusions are made on the operability of the proposed approach.\n
