IMPACT OF AGE AND INCOME ON PERCEPTIONS OF QUALITY OF LIFE, WELL-BEING, AND POLICY AWARENESS AMONG SENIOR CITIZENS IN CHHATTISGARH.
This study investigates the impact of age and income on the perceptions of quality of life, well-being, and policy awareness among senior citizens in Chhattisgarh. The results reveal that younger seniors (60-69 years) report higher quality of life due to better physical health, while older seniors (70+ years) exhibit greater well-being, likely due to increased psychological resilience. Income disparities significantly affect these perceptions, with higher income levels associated with better overall life satisfaction. However, the perceptions of policies, legal, and ethical aspects indicate that financial resources alone do not ensure positive outlooks in these areas. The findings underscore the need for age- and income-sensitive policies, promoting physical health and social engagement for younger seniors, and psychological support for older ones. Enhancing policy awareness through effective communication is crucial to improve the quality of life and well-being of senior citizens in Chhattisgarh.
