Amantamide C, an\nAntitrypanosomal Linear Lipopeptide\nfrom a Marine <i>Okeania</i> sp. Cyanobacterium
Amantamides are lipopeptides that act as selective CXC\nchemokine\nreceptor 7 agonists and modulate spontaneous calcium oscillations\nin primary cultured neocortical neurons. We isolated a new analog\nof amantamides, amantamide C, from marine <i>Okeania</i> sp. cyanobacterium collected in Japan and established its structure\nbased on NMR and MS/MS analyses, and degradation reactions. In addition,\nwe evaluated the biological activity of amantamide C and revealed\nnovel biological features of amantamide-type compounds.
