A new integrated magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer combined with eco-friendly deep eutectic solvent for separation and purification of luteoloside from Lonicerae japonica
Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) were widely used as adsorption materials because of the excellent specificity, repeatability and stability. However, most MIPs synthesis processes usually use highly toxic organic reagents as functional monomers, which have poor adsorption capacity, slow separation, environmental pollution and other problems. In order to avoid these problems, a magnetic deep eutectic solvent molecularly imprinted polymers (DES-MMIPs) was synthesized in this study. To our knowledge, luteoloside is an important natural compound from Lonicerae japonica with high pharmacological activity and clinical value, but lack of efficient extraction method. In the polymer components, luteoloside was used as the identification template, ternary-DES was used as the environmental functional monomer, and modified Fe 3 O 4 was regarded as the magnetic core for rapid separation. The adsorption ability, physical and chemical properties of DES-MMIPs were studied, and the material was characterized. The results indicated that DES-MMIPs had higher excessive adsorption capability (65.24 mg/g) and specificity. In addition, DES-MMIPs was used as packing material to prepare solid phase extraction (SPE) column and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to separate and purify luteoloside from honeysuckle. The purity reached 90.36–95.28 %. Finally, the economic advantages of this method were revealed through the technical and economic analysis on the laboratory scale. In this study, a new method for the separation and purification of luteoloside was proposed, which can also provide reference for separating other compounds from complex matrices.
