The Architect-Executor Model: An Expert-Analyzed Case Study on Accelerating Software Prototyping
The integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) into software development promises significant productivity gains, yet formal methodologies for structuring this collaboration are underdeveloped. This paper introduces and analyzes the Architect-Executor (A-E) Model, a framework where a human expert acts as the architect, providing strategic direction and logical diagnosis, while an AI serves as the executor for code generation. We present a real-world case study: the development of a fully automated, serverless AI-powered stock analysis application. The entire project was completed in less than one day using the A-E Model. Based on the author's 5+ years of experience as a product manager leading software engineering teams, we provide an expert analysis estimating that a traditional manual development process for a project of this complexity would typically require 3-5 working days. This represents an estimated 80% reduction in development time. This study concludes that the A-E model is a powerful paradigm for rapid prototyping, fundamentally shifting the development bottleneck from implementation speed to the clarity and speed of human strategic thinking.
