Maximum-likelihood consensus phylogeny of Manis javanica and Manis culionensis based on Cytochrome b (1,140 bp) and reconstructed using IQ-TREE 2. Outgroup Manis pentadactyla was used for rooting (not shown). The geographic origin of M. javanica well-supported clades is indicated by colors in the adjacent vertical bar. For sequences generated in this study, the species name is retained to distinguish them from GenBank entries.
