The article explores a campaign to discredit its AI model, ChatGPT, through a series of media publications highlighting its absurd, unreliable, or dangerous outputs. This strategy, termed "Operation Zeroing Out Authority," aims to undermine ChatGPT’s cognitive authority - its perception as a reliable source of knowledge.Methodology
This study was conducted by an independent researcher unaffiliated with any academic or research institution. Artificial intelligence tools were employed for content development, refinement, and cross-verification: ChatGPT 4.0, ChatGPT mini, ChatGPT 3.5 (OpenAI), DeepSeek (DeepSeek AI), and Grok 2.0 (xAI).The author formulated the research concept, hypotheses, and key questions, while AI tools were used as supportive aids for structuring content and identifying arguments. Outputs from different models were cross-checked, edited, and validated by the author.
Limitations
AI may contain inaccuracies or outdated information and does not replace traditional research methods. To minimize these risks, the author applied multi-level cross-checking among models, editorial refinements, and author-led verification.
Author Information
The author is an independent researcher using AI solely as a supportive analytical and editorial tool, maintaining full control over interpretation and conclusions.
