Photon Foundations: A Unified Theory of Fundamental Forces and Cosmic Cycles
This theoretical physics paper presents a novel framework positioning photons as the foundational elements of reality from which all fundamental forces, time, and gravity emerge. The proposed "Photon Entropy Cycle" describes how photons originate from a pre-quantum state, transform into structured matter, and eventually dissolve back to their original state, with entropy serving as an information-preserving mechanism across these transitions. The paper unifies the four fundamental forces (electromagnetic, strong nuclear, weak nuclear, and gravitational) by deriving them from different manifestations of photonic interactions at varying scales and energies. Time is reconceptualized as an emergent property resulting from sequential photonic transformations rather than an independent dimension, while gravity is interpreted as an effect of photonic interactions with mass. This framework offers potential resolutions to longstanding challenges in theoretical physics, including the reconciliation of quantum mechanics with general relativity, the nature of dark energy and dark matter, and the emergence of spacetime itself. The mathematical formulations provided align with recent developments in quantum information theory while offering new perspectives on cosmic evolution and the fundamental nature of reality.
