Business Innovation Self-Assessment with Artificial Intelligence Support for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
New research explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the business innovation self-assessment process making it more accessible and achievable. It enables small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to assess their capacities across eight core dimensions where innovation happens: Innovation Strategic Orientation, Innovation Portfolio, Innovation Process, Innovative Talent and Culture, Innovation Capabilities, Technology Innovation, Innovation Strategic Alliances, Innovation Performance Measurement.AI-supported framework is employed for data analysis, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling. By plugging in their data, companies can bridge the gap between how they see themselves and actual are doing. The AI compares these findings with industry benchmarks, identifying weaknesses and inefficiencies. Additionally, the AI provides practical advice on those key dimensions and nitty gritty operations. It contributes novel insights into AI’s role in democratizing innovation tools and reducing the "AI divide" among SMEs globally.
