The paper addresses a concern that Pakistan occupied Kasmiris are known with names such as Pakistan Administered Kashmir, Azad Kashmir, Jammu, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Mirpur, Kotli, Dadyal, Pahari, and Potwari (Ali, 2014; Asef, 1971; Ballard, 1991; Ellis & Khan, 2003; Snedden, 2012; Sökefeld & Bolognani, 2011). Rochdale's POK population was asked what name they would prefer to be called. Since Sara Sharif's murder case and other honour killings have brought attention to the community, the term Pakistani has been used derogatorily.
