This dataset includes whole-exome sequencing (WES) variant data from 571 Singaporean children and adolescents with severe early-onset non-syndromic obesity (BMI ≥ 97th percentile). It comprises DNA sequencing chromatograms of 36 rare heterozygous nonsynonymous variants identified across 13 monogenic obesity-related genes. Additionally, the dataset includes conservation analysis of the identified variant sites across different species, a figure illustrating the roles of various monogenic obesity-related genes in regulating satiety and appetite, and tables comparing clinical characteristics between groups.
