Volumetric properties of acid dyes in water with tetrabutylammonium bromide + glycerol deep eutectic solvent
The density of acid dyes, such as acid blue 80 and acid red 1, with tetrabutylammonium bromide + glycerol over the whole composition were measured at temperature from 293.15 to 343.15 K, for different concentrations (25–100) ppm. Further, the volumetric properties were calculated. Subsequently, the calculated excess molar volume data was fitted with the Redlich-Kister equation. It is noted that all the studied system shows the positive deviation due to the poor physical interaction between the acid dyes and water whereas acid dyes and tetrabutylammonium bromide with glycerol deep eutectic solvents has strong interactions upon mixing.
