Supplementary figure 1: Charts showing the proportions of the coarse CAM components during development (A-D) and bar graphs showing the absolute volumes of the major mesodermal components (E) from A Morphometric and stereological study of the chorioa
A-D: As expected, mesoderm takes the greatest percentage throughout but its contribution is lowest at E16 (A) and highest at E37 (B). The percentages of the chorion remained slightly higher sthan that of the allantois but both parameters decreased steadily towards incubation day 37. E: The mesenchyme remained the largest component of the mesoderm followed by the arteries, then the veins and the lymphatics had the smallest volume. At the maturity of the CAM (E37), volumes of arteries and veins were evenly matched.
