Enhanced Real-Time Detection of Methane (CH₄) Leaks in Industrial Environments via a Hybrid Acoustic and Electrochemical Sensor Fusion System

**Abstract:** This paper presents a novel system for enhanced real-time methane (CH₄) leak detection in industrial environments leveraging a hybridized acoustic and electrochemical sensing architecture coupled with a dynamically weighted Kalman filtering framework. Current methane detection systems often suffer from limitations including limited sensitivity, susceptibility to environmental interference, and high false-positive rates. Our system addresses these challenges by integrating complementary sensing modalities and employing advanced signal processing techniques to increase detection accuracy and reliability, enabling rapid response and mitigation of potentially hazardous methane releases. This technology offers immediate commercial viability, particularly in natural gas processing plants, oil and gas refineries, and municipal wastewater treatment facilities. --- *This document is a part of the Freederia Research Archive.
