The Food Pantry Initiative
The Food Pantry Initiative addresses food insecurity among college students in New Jersey, with a focus on Rutgers–Camden. This student-led project combines political science and sociology through independent studies—linking food insecurity to systemic issues like crime and policy gaps. Through research, volunteerism, and legislative advocacy, the initiative provides both immediate relief and long-term solutions. Supported by the Honors College and student organizations like the Pre-Law Society and TKE, the initiative continues to grow through service, fundraising, and coalition building.
