This study investigates the role of cognition, affect, and involvement in tourist electronic word-of-mouth intent from an Indian destination perspective. This empirical research followed a quantitative analysis, and the data were collected from tourists at popular destinations in India. Tourists’ cognitive evaluation of the destination and involvement were modeled as higher-order constructs. The structural equation modeling results indicate that cognition and affect impact electronic word-of-mouth intent (eWOM). The constructs of cognition and affect are statistically significant and positively impact tourist involvement. Involvement partially mediates the relationship between cognition and eWOM intent and affect and eWOM intention. This study emphasizes the importance of enhancing destination appeal, fostering positive tourist–host interactions, and creating authentic experiences for tourists to generate eWOM about the destination.
