Hyper-Precision Modular Multilevel Converter Topology Optimization via Reinforcement Learning and Bayesian Calibration
**Abstract:** This paper presents a novel approach to optimizing the topology of Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) systems, leveraging Reinforcement Learning (RL) and Bayesian Calibration to achieve unprecedented levels of power quality and efficiency. Existing MMC topology design relies heavily on manual iteration and finite element analysis, a process inherently limited by computational cost and human bias. Our framework, HyperScore Optimizer (HSO), automates and accelerates this process, identifying optimal topologies through a closed-loop RL system calibrated by real-time performance metrics. This promises a 10x reduction in design cycles and a 3-5% improvement in overall efficiency, significantly impacting the grid integration of renewable energy sources and industrial power applications. --- *This document is a part of the Freederia Research Archive.
