Efficient synthesis and in vitro biological activity of some novel thiazolopyrimidines and pyrazolopyrimidines via a microwave-assisted one‑pot three component reaction
In our present work, a novel group of desirable substances, thiazolopyrimidines 5a–f, pyrazolopyrimidines 8a–f, or pyridobenzimidazoles 10 and 11 have been produced with good to superior results by the one pot three component method of molecules 1a or 1b derivatives, DMF-DMA, and various arylthiazol-2-amines, 5-aminopyrazoles, or acetonitrile derivative 9 in pyridine under microwave irradiation at 130 °C for 120 min. This strategy is characterized by ease of use, quick reaction, and moderate reactions. All molecules were assessed for their antimicrobial potential against pathogenic organisms. The pyrazolopyrimidine analogue 8f illustrated the best antimicrobial actions with Minimal inhibitory concentration values varying between 2.48 and 37.15 μM. The spectral results were used to ascertain the desired substances.
