Application of Ionized Air to Reduce Hydrogen Sulfide Concentration in Biogas
Biogas, a key renewable energy from organic waste biodigestion, faces limitations due to impurities like carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. While various purification methods exist, the diversity of biogas sources and operational costs drive the search for new, cost-effective solutions. This study explores biogas desulfurization using simultaneous ionized air and biogas injection into water. Findings confirm that ionized air with ozone enhances desulfurization, with hydrogen sulfide reduction affected by temperature and pH. The work provides a foundation for future improvements in this method, highlighting ionized air technology’s feasibility in boosting biogas quality. This approach promotes sustainable, eco-friendly energy generation.
