Agro-Web3 Data-Driven: Technological Convergence for Sustainability and Productivity in Brazilian Agribusiness

This article explores the synergistic integration of data-driven approaches and Web3 technologies within the context of Brazilian agribusiness, with a particular focus on the Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration (ILPF) system.1 The analysis details how Agriculture 4.0, driven by Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT), is transforming agricultural management, optimizing resources, and increasing productivity.1 Concurrently, it investigates the potential of Web3 technologies, such as blockchain, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), and Regenerative Finance (ReFi), to enhance traceability, supply chain security, access to credit, and the creation of new value models for sustainable practices.1 The study demonstrates that ILPF, an intrinsically sustainable model, can be exponentially enhanced by these innovations, offering economic, ecological, and social benefits.1 At the same time, persistent challenges for the widespread adoption of these technologies in Brazil are discussed, such as the rural connectivity gap and the need for training.1 It is concluded that the strategic convergence between the data-driven paradigm, Web3, and models like ILPF is fundamental to boosting the sustainability, resilience, and competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness in the global scenario, requiring continuous investments in infrastructure, research, development, and coordinated public policies.
