On Determining the Mass of Pollutant Emissions into Atmospheric Air from Coke Batteries
During the operation of coke batteries, ten gaseous pollutants enter the atmospheric air through doors, loading hatches and risers. These include substances belonging to the second hazard class (hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, benzene), that is highly hazardous substances. The listed emission sources are classified as fugitive. In accordance with the regulatory documents in force in Russia, when carrying out industrial environmental control, when taking inventory of emissions from unorganized sources, calculation methods are used, using, in particular, appropriate methods. The current calculation methods provide for the determination of the mass of emissions into the air in coke production based on specific indicators. The paper describes a proposed approach to determining specific emissions through coke battery doors, loading hatches and risers.
