Analisis Kebutuhan dan Perancangan Onboarding Interaktif pada Aplikasi Bstation Menggunakan PIECES Framework dan Prinsip UX Design.pdf
This study aims to analyze user needs and design an effective interactive onboarding system for the Bstation mobile application using the PIECES framework and UX design principles. Initial observations and interviews with new users revealed difficulties in accessing community and account settings features due to the lack of clear onboarding guidance.Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this research identifies key challenges using the PIECES framework (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, Service) and applies Jakob Nielsen's UX heuristics (clarity, consistency, guidance) to guide design improvements. The prototype developed includes visual instructions and step-by-step onboarding flows, which were tested by five users in a usability trial. Results show a significant improvement in the onboarding experience: task success rate increased to 88%, average adaptation time dropped from 3:43 to 1:55, and user satisfaction on clarity reached 4.6 out of 5. These findings highlight the importance of structured onboarding in enhancing user retention, especially for community-based platforms like Bstation. This research contributes to both practical UX strategies and academic discourse by integrating structured need analysis with heuristic-based prototyping in mobile application development.
