Whole-genome sequencing analysis and evaluation of probiotic properties of Pediococcus acidilactici PA_ZFRA1 newly isolated from the bovine rumen

In this study, we characterized the safety and probiotic properties of rumen-derived <i>Pediococcus acidilactici</i> PA_ZFRA1 based on in vitro assays and whole-genome sequencing analysis. This enriches new probiotic products and provides theoretical support for the application of <i>P. acidilactici</i> in fields of dairy products fermentation, food production and preservation, human health, and animal nutrition. It also makes important advance for the development and utilization of rumen-derived probiotics. This document is supplementary material to the article.
