Code & Data – A GBLUP to produce ssGBLUP solutions for genotyped animals
SubjectGenomic BLUP (GBLUP) is a statistical model for the genetic evaluation of genotyped animals. Single-step genomic BLUP (ssGBLUP) is a statistical model for the simultaneous genetic evaluation of genotyped and nongenotyped animals. Usually, a small proportion of the population is genotyped. In this work, I experiment with absorbing ssGBLUP equations for nongenotyped animals into the ssGBLUP equations for genotyped animals to form a GBLUP. Then, I test the equivalence between the solutions from the (reduced-equivalent) GBLUP with those from the full ssGBLUP model.ContentsThis repository contains a Jupyter notebook (also available in R Markdown and HTML formats) written in R programming language, in which the data is presented and analyzed.
