Article Rapai
This study examines the dynamics of lived religious aesthetics and religious creativity through the Rapai tradition in Aceh, Indonesia. This tradition blends traditional musical arts with religious values, serving as both a medium for cultural preservation and spiritual expression. Lived religious aesthetics reflects how art becomes a manifestation of religious values, while religious creativity demonstrates the adaptation of traditions to social changes. Employing a qualitative approach, the study analyses textual and visual data collected from online sources. The findings reveal two key aspects: first, the Rapai tradition functions as a medium for religious dissemination and cultural solidarity; second, challenges such as the lack of artist regeneration and the diminishing spiritual essence threaten its sustainability. This study contributes to global discussions on religious arts, highlighting how lived religious aesthetics and religious creativity bridge traditional values and social challenges, while offering insights into preserving traditions across cultural contexts.
