Entanglement, Geometry, and Emergent Law: Revisiting the Foundations of Physics via Wolfram Models and Voelker’s Computational Quantum Theory
From the realms of formal logic to the edges of quantum gravity, the 21st century has witnessed a renaissance in foundational physics. Two groundbreaking frameworks—Stephen Wolfram’s hypergraph-based rewriting models and Jason Voelker’s Computational Quantum Theory (CQT)—have emerged as leading contenders to reframe our understanding of space, time, and information. This report offers a comparative examination of both frameworks, drawing upon their mathematical structures, explanatory power, empirical testability, and conceptual elegance. While both theories propose that geometry and physical law emerge from more primitive constructs, it is Voelker’s model—rooted in quantum information and the structure of finite Hilbert spaces—that appears poised to resolve the long-standing tensions between quantum mechanics and general relativity.<br>
