OPORTUNIDADES LABORALES PARA GEÓGRAFOS: LAFORMACIÓN PROFESIONAL DE PROCESOS DE PRODUCCIÓNAGRARIA EN ANDALUCÍA

This article analyses the job opportunities open to geographers in intermediateand higher vocational training. It briefly outlines the current situation in Spain andanalyses the situation in Andalusia in depth, through a literature review and analysis ofthe current regulations in force establishing official qualifications to work as a supplyteacher in secondary education and vocational colleges. It also analyses the curriculumof the respective Royal Decrees and the Order in Andalusia that sets out the syllabusfor secondary and higher vocational training. The conclusions show the employmentpossibilities existing in Andalusia within professional training for geography teachersand the great weight of geographical contents established for each of the qualifications,noting that this teaching is delivered by other disciplines excluding Geography.
