THE ART OF MAKOMS AND ITS TYPES

The article analyzes the art of makam as one of the highest and most complex forms of the musical heritage of the East. It highlights the historical formation process of makams, performance styles, genre features, and artistic and aesthetic significance. Also, a scientific comparative analysis of the specifics of makam types - Shashmakam, Fergana-Tashkent makam paths, Khorezm makams, and other regional variants is carried out. The role of makam art in the spiritual life of the people, its role in the formation of national musical thinking, and its influence on modern musical creativity are also covered.
