Derivation of Perihelion Precession in the Graviton Wave Model

This document provides a detailed derivation of perihelion precession within theGraviton Wave Model (GWM), a novel framework where gravity emerges as a repulsivewave field mediated by a spin-2 graviton field. Using linearized field equations and thegeodesic equation, we show that the GWM accurately predicts Mercury’s perihelionprecession of 43 arcseconds per century, aligning with General Relativity (GR) andobservational data. This standalone derivation complements the main GWM draft(Henley, 2024), offering a focused exploration of the model’s relativistic predictions.

Abstract

This document provides a detailed derivation of perihelion precession within theGraviton Wave Model (GWM), a novel framework where gravity emerges as a repulsivewave field mediated by a spin-2 graviton field. Using linearized field equations and thegeodesic equation, we show that the GWM accurately predicts Mercury’s perihelionprecession of 43 arcseconds per century, aligning with General Relativity (GR) andobservational data. This standalone derivation complements the main GWM draft(Henley, 2024), offering a focused exploration of the model’s relativistic predictions.
