Heroic Stones Anf Masti Stones

Abstract Hero stones and sati stones are emotions frozen in time, preserving valor, selfless devotion, and the chaste nature of wives. They offer a wealth of insight into the historical, theological, and social landscapes of their times. While sati stones memorialize women, who performed self-immolation on their husbands’ pyres, hero stones commemorate men and women who courageously fought and died for their land. To understand the values and events these stones embody, the study examines their iconography, inscriptions, and geographic spread alongside the lives and deaths of the people they memorialized.
