DIFFERENTIATED APPROACH TO THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF POST-BURN SCARS USING ULTRASOUND, LASER DOPPLER FLOWMETRY, AND FLUORESCENCE DIAGNOSTICS

Post-burn scars present complex challenges in clinical practice due to their potential to cause both functional disability and psychological trauma. The development of advanced diagnostic tools has facilitated the shift toward more personalized and effective treatment strategies. This study explores a differentiated diagnostic approach using ultrasound imaging, laser Doppler flowmetry, and fluorescence diagnostics for the comprehensive evaluation of post-burn scars. We discuss the pathophysiological mechanisms behind scar formation, the principles of each diagnostic modality, and how they contribute to a layered understanding of scar tissue. Our findings underscore the synergistic value of combining structural, perfusion, and metabolic data in devising targeted, patient-specific therapeutic plans. Integrating these modalities into standard clinical protocols has the potential to significantly improve long-term outcomes in burn rehabilitation.
