Impact of Management Practices on Efficiency and Productivity of Modern Production Lines

In the dynamic landscape of industrial manufacturing, the efficiency of production lines plays a pivotal role in determining overall productivity and competitiveness. This paper investigates the role of various management practices in optimizing production line performance, including lean manufacturing, Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, Just-in-Time (JIT), and workforce engagement strategies. Through a comprehensive literature review and case study analysis from automotive and FMCG industries, the study highlights how structured management interventions reduce downtime, minimize waste, improve product quality, and enhance employee performance. The research further explores the integration of digital tools such as ERP systems and real-time monitoring in supporting these practices. The results demonstrate that strategic management practices, when consistently implemented and adapted to specific production environments, lead to significant improvements in throughput and cost-effectiveness. Recommendations are provided for SMEs and large-scale manufacturers to adopt tailored management strategies for sustained operational excellence.
