CHALLENGES AND LIMITATIONS OF MICRO HYDROPOWER PLANTS IN RESERVOIRS: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS AND SOLUTIONS

CHALLENGES AND LIMITATIONS OF MICRO HYDROPOWER PLANTS IN RESERVOIRS: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS AND SOLUTIONS Saloydinov Sardorjon Qodirjon ugli PhD student Tashkent State Technical University named after I.A.Karimov, Uzbekistan E-mail: [email protected] http: //doi. org/10.5281/zenodo.15005096 Abstract: micro hydropower plants in reservoirs represent a promising source of renewable energy. However, their implementation faces numerous technical, environmental, and economic challenges. This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the limitations of MHP systems, supported by statistical data, comparative tables, and literature references. The research identifies key obstacles, such as sedimentation, fluctuating water levels, and efficiency losses, while proposing potential strategies to enhance performance. The expanded study explores additional case studies, introduces new comparative analyses, and evaluates long-term operational trends. Keywords: Micro hydropower plants, reservoirs, renewable energy, efficiency, sedimentation,
