POSTCOID SYNDROME AND ITS MANIFESTATIONS OF THE PSYCHOEMOTIONAL SPHERE

This article is devoted to one of the most pressing problems today, modern biologyand medicine - the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 and the changes taking place in theemotional sphere in the postcoid period. It has been shown that the nervous system (NS) is one of themain targets of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is confirmed by hypo/anosmia, which develops in mostpatients in the acute period of COVID-19, and in the main part of patients it is the first symptom. Wehave identified cases of hypo-/anosmia even in the postcoid period. The main direct routes ofexposure to coronavirus on the NS are hematogenous and neuronal. Most patients after acutecoronavirus infection postcoid syndrome develops. A significant place in its structure is occupied byneurological manifestations, in particular, emotional disorders. At the same time, patients of all agegroups experience a decrease in their quality of life.
