THE STATUS OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
This article analyzes the importance of emotional intelligence in the process of teaching a foreign language to children with special needs and its impact on educational effectiveness. It is substantiated that the main components of emotional intelligence — understanding and managing one's own emotions, understanding the emotions of others, empathy, and positive communication skills — are an additional motivational and psychological factor in the acquisition of a foreign language for students with special needs. The study examines ways to improve children's emotional well-being in the process of language learning through psychological and pedagogical approaches, communicative methods, and adapted learning strategies.
