MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES OF THE ADRENAL GLAND IN EXPERIMENTAL RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS
Resume. When analyzing morphological changes in experimental rheumatoid arthritis, it was manifested by cellular hypertrophy (increase in volume), capillary congestion and inflammatory infiltrates (increased number of macrophages and leukocytes) in the striated zone. In the medulla, the number of chromaffin cells decreased and sinusoids expanded. All this indicates the effect of rheumatoid arthritis on the function of the adrenal gland, namely, hyperplasia, vasculitis and stress adaptation processes. Keywords: adrenal gland, white crossbred rats, morphology, cortical layer, medulla.
