The Present as Informational Collapse: Theoretical Foundations and Empirical Evidence for the Dynamic Nature of Consciousness
Abstract I present a unifying theory of consciousness based on the hypothesis that the present constitutes a local informational collapse within a multidimensional network of quantum-classical states. Unlike traditional models where time is an external parameter, I propose a model in which subjective presence emerges from a dynamic process of selecting information available to a local observer. Past and future are cognitive constructs generated in real time based on encoded or extrapolated data. The key discovery is that even in altered states of consciousness (OBE, psychedelics, REM sleep), the subject still participates in local informational collapse, operating in an alternative yet still current "now". This theory integrates findings from information physics, neurobiology, transpersonal psychology, and declassified government research on consciousness manipulation. Keywords:
