Electron Entropy: Thermodynamic Degradation of Information

This study introduces an original concept called “electron entropy”, based on the notion that electrons should be considered not only as carriers of energy but also as carriers of information.Quantum information theory demonstrates that spin states can be treated as quantum bits (qubits), and that this information can degrade over time due to environmental interactions a process known as decoherence. The article questions whether such informational degradation can be interpreted as an entropic process, and proposes a new interpretation through the idea of “thermodynamic degradation of information.”Drawing on the Landauer principle, quantum entropy, and decoherence mechanisms, the study also explores whether forgetting in the human mind could be a similar form of entropic dissolution. By bridging physics and cognitive science, this hypothesis aims to spark multidisciplinary discussion and potential experimental verification in quantum information research, neuroscience, and the philosophy of mind.
