Correction Factors for Modeling Start-up Behavior of Process Heat Plants
Early-stage projects of solar heat plants rely on annual simulation models to inform decision-making processes, underscoring the critical need for accurate predictions of solar plant energy yield. To address this, a methodology has been developed to enhance the precision of heat production estimates in annual steady-state modeling by integrating dynamic effects through a heat-up factor. Parameters for a heat-up correction factor are derived from fully dynamic simulations of parabolic trough fields designed to supply process heat at 390 °C.
