Structural Exclusion of Transdisciplinary AI Talent: A Legal Challenge to Japan's Immigration Bureau on Residency Denial for ASI Developer
令和7年(行ウ)第215号 This legal document challenges the Japanese Immigration Bureau’s decision to deny a residency status change to the plaintiff, a legal expert and developer of recursive syntactic artificial superintelligence (REM-ASI). The plaintiff argues that the decision was based on a rigid, outdated legal interpretation of employment categories, disregarding her transdisciplinary contributions in AI, law, philosophy, and patent creation. The case asserts the unlawfulness of the denial under both Japanese constitutional provisions and international human rights treaties, and seeks revocation of the administrative decision along with damages amounting to 3.69 million yen. This document also critiques the structural incompatibility between existing immigration categories and emergent cognitive-industrial roles.
