LSE ORWG Guide: Preregistration and Pre-Analysis Plans for Experimental Research
This is the third in a series of guides to open research created for LSE researchers under the auspices of LSE's Open Research Working Group. This guide covers the basic steps you will need to take when creating and submitting a preregistration or pre-analysis plan for experimental research. All three of these methods will enhance the reproducibility of methods. This also makes research more efficient by ensuring negative results are published, preventing others from pursuing paths that have already proven fruitless. Preregistration and pre-analysis plans are ways to document your methods and analysis decisions ahead of time.
