A SET OF SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS FOR STERNOTOMY
Various pneumatic, electric, sawing, and cutting tools for sternotomy (sternotomy) are known. Basically, their design contains a removable cutting tooth blade, the movement of which ensures the sternotomy. The high speed of movement of the cutting part of the tool leads to a burn of the bone, and delayed fusion, or non-fusion at all. The use of these tools is traumatic, leading to bone burns and extremely delayed regeneration at the osteotomy site. The device developed and proposed by us provides a reduction in injury during surgical treatment of keeled, funnel-shaped, sternum deformity, and during sternal access during cardiological operations.
