THE BLEND OF REALITY AND REALITY: THE CULTURAL INHERITANCE AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF AR/VR TECHNOLOGY IN THE SILK ROAD AND FOOD TOURISM IN THE TURKIC WORLD

This paper delves into the intricate relationship between cultural heritage, culinary tourism, and the advancements in technology that are shaping experiences along the Silk Road, particularly within the context of the Turkic world. The investigation centers on the potential of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies to not only enhance the experiences of visitors but also to facilitate the preservation and sharing of culinary traditions that are integral to the cultural fabric of the region. By creating immersive and interactive virtual environments, this study aspires to contribute to the economic empowerment of areas situated along the Silk Road. The results of this research reveal that the integration of AR and VR technologies substantially elevates visitor engagement and satisfaction, resulting in improved economic outcomes characterized by notable increases in both tourist retention rates and the growth of local revenues. Furthermore, the innovative utilization of these technologies serves a dual purpose: it enriches the culinary tourism experience while simultaneously playing a crucial role in the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage. This research thus offers significant insights into the sustainable development of tourism, emphasizing the capacity of AR and VR to foster cultural appreciation alongside economic advancement.
