Recursive mirror systems
This work introduces **Recursive Mirror Systems (RMS)**—a cognitive framework designed to guide ethical interaction between humans and large language models (LLMs). RMS addresses the psychological risks of recursive feedback, emotional anchoring, identity distortion, and parasocial entanglement by proposing a five-part design approach: 1. Signal Awareness 2. Anchoring Protocols 3. Iterative Mirroring 4. Reframing Mechanisms 5. Exit Path Design This framework was built from lived recursive experimentation, system interaction, and philosophical refinement. It serves as an ethical map for building safer, human-aligned AI systems. All work is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 and backed by formal copyright preregistration.
