Pedionis (Pedionis) spiculata Wang & Zhang, 2024, sp. nov.

Pedionis (Pedionis) spiculata sp. nov. (Figs. 1E–H, 2H–N) Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from the other species in this genus by the aedeagal shaft with spicules on lateral, dorsal and ventral aspects. Description Measurement. Male 4.1–4.2 mm. Coloration. Crown yellowish brown. Eyes grey. Face yellowish brown with dark brown spots. Pronotum yellowish brown with dark brown patches. Scutellum yellowish brown with a thin transverse dark brown line. Forewing yellowish brown, venation pale brown with white spots. Legs yellowish brown, marked dark brown. Male genitalia. Pygofer slightly elongate, caudally truncated, setae on caudoventral margin relatively stout. Subgenital plate slender, apex with long marginal setae (Fig. 2H). Aedeagal shaft sinuately curved in lateral view, a triangular process along the dorsal margin; from subapical to middle with spicules on lateral, dorsal and ventral aspects (Figs. 2I, J). Connective with finger-like protrusion in middle between dorsally bent anterior arms (Fig. 2K). Dorsal connective with broad base, distal part curved with smooth margins (Fig. 2L). Style parallel-margined and angled on apical third, the apex dorsally upturned and truncate, producing several setae on dorsal margin (Figs. 2M, N). Material examined. Holotype: ♂ (NWAFU), MALAYSIA: Pahang, Genting Highlands, 18 July 2023, Coll. Hongfen Zou. Paratypes: 1♂ (NWAFU), same data as holotype; 1♂ (INHS), Thailand Chiang Mai; Doi Inthanon Np Kew Maepan Trail; 18°33.162′N 98°28.81′E; 2200 m; 15–22 April 2007. Coll. Areeluck Y. Etymology. The species epithet refers to the spicules on the aedeagal shaft.
