ANALYSIS OF EXISTING RCC BUILDING AND MODELING IN SOFTWARE AND DETERMINING REMEDIAL MEASURES.
Abstract: The civil engineering industry is tasked with creating and maintaining diverse structures, fromresidential and commercial buildings to historical and industrial sites. The increasing need for efficient landuse, especially in urban areas, has led to a rise in high-rise construction. These structures present uniquechallenges due to increased vertical and lateral loads, demanding careful attention to rigidity and stability.Reinforced concrete (RCC) framed structures are a prevalent form of construction, utilizing concrete forcompressive strength and steel reinforcement for tensile strength. While offering flexibility and efficient loadtransfer, RCC structures are susceptible to deterioration over time, necessitating repair, rehabilitation, andretrofitting. This project emphasizes the importance of structural auditing to assess the condition of existingbuildings and implement appropriate measures to extend their service life. This project addresses the designand analysis of such structures, acknowledging the role of software like ETABS in modern structuralengineering. ETABS facilitates the design process by enabling 3D modeling and analysis of various structuralmaterials, streamlining the workflow from design to construction.
